Uppercut Deluxe in Japan pt1
A few of the Uppercut Deluxe lads recently headed over to Japan for a little meet and great tour.
Top Boy Nick Ramsey was there documenting it and has shared with us a stack of film photos.
Kicking things off in Sapporo, Hokkaido they headed to visit their mate Masa at his barber shop ‘Apache’ & then off to lunch at the ‘Smile Kitchen’ for chicken and a side of hot rods and bikes.
Japan has some of the greatest ski resorts in the world. The Slopes in ‘Furano’ did not disappoint.
Next they travelled through Sendai where they connected with Eastside barbers and eventually reached Fukushima at a spot called, Woody’s barbershop.
Woody’s then took them out to their friend’s paint shop (husband and wife dynamic duo) who paint tanks, gas caps, frames and everything else in between. (Paint Shop Isanai)
Turns out the husband and wife have the shop set up as a restaurant and bar where they served up beers and some amazing Japanese food including raw sashimi style horse. YIKES! (Kitchen Izanai)
Stay tune for part2…
