SUPERFLY-GARAGE - New German Distributor

Guttentag mate! Please say hello to our new wholesaler out in Germany - Sloppy Joe. founder of the SUPER-FLY garage.

Just look at that set up, what a total legend. Joe recently took a big fat stack of mags and is ready to look after all the lovely people of “Krautland” and beyond. We thought it would be a good idea to ask the man some questions and find out why

D: Who are you and where are you from?

SJ: Im Sloppy Joe, things-that-have-a-soul-lover and self-made-philosopher. I was born in Munich and for 18 years I have lived in Eschborn, a suburb from Frankfurt, Germany.

D: Tell us about your shop.

SJ: The SUPERFLY-GARAGE is a creative workshop that is all about art and craft. To this end, we have packed in a first, small fashion collection, a swap and flea market and a lot of philosophical thoughts.

I was inspired to do this clash of cultures many years before when I first met the Kustom Kulture. But we beamed this idea into the psychedelic seventies. Under the claim 'Wheelz & Kulture, made in Krautland' everything rotate about choppers, muscle cars, vans, surfing... and rock'n roll as an attitude - but just with a breeze of Woodstock.

From vision to mission we´re opened in September last year. In the current expansion phase, we are still looking for a few selected, thematically like-minded artists which would to be represented through us. And we´re also working on the next fashion collection. This is what keeps us busy these days.

D: Why do you love DicE?

SJ: With your very true-to-life choppers, the handcraft behind them, the stories about the creators… you have the full program of authenticity. These bikes are art on wheels - and that makes your magazine as a perfect fit for us.

D: What you got in that garage of yours?

SJ: I have a 87' Super-Glide (FXRS) and an 69' Camaro RS. Of course both with long stories to tell…

D: Where would be your dream place to go on your motorcycle and why?

SJ: My next bad-to-the-bone-tour will be Europe’s south coast from Italy,  along France, Spain and maybe up to Portugal.

I like these long distance road trips because they give me a maximum feeling of freedom, what we call a ‘Superfly’.

Make sure you give Sloppy Joe a follow on the old socials
